What role do the arts play in
our community?
A news release from the National
Governor's Association in August of 2005 states that "an investment in
the arts creates a great impact on economic development and helps to
create a highly desirable quality of life, drawing businesses and
knowledgeable workers to further stimulate the economy.
Incorporating the arts into the community helps not only to diversify
the economy but provides communities with a competitive advantage in
the 21st century's global market place."
How can you help?
We ask you, as a private citizen,
corporation or small business owner, to provide assistance to the
Burleson Arts Council through your financial support and volunteer
efforts. We welcome corporate underwriters, individual donors,
and volunteers as we endeavor to move forward in the new cultural
direction for our city. Monies raised will be used to promote
local artists, enhance arts education and assist with cultural events. |
